About KenaFine

This site is not the Traffic Police, the Land Transport Authority, the Housing & Development Board or the Urban Redevelopment Authority, is not affiliated with any of them, and cannot check, pay or appeal anything on your behalf. It exists because Singapore traffic penalties are widely repeated and rarely sourced.

CONSEQUENCE

This site is not the authority

KenaFine is not the Traffic Police, the Land Transport Authority, the Housing & Development Board or the Urban Redevelopment Authority, and is not affiliated with any of them or with any court. It cannot check, pay or appeal anything on your behalf, it holds no records, and nothing sent to it reaches any agency.

What this site is

A reference site. Every figure on it is taken from a named provision of a named instrument — the Road Traffic Act 1961 and the Parking Places Act 1974 as revised, together with the rules, notifications and orders made under them — and the provision is stated beside the figure so you can check it.

The instruments distinguish three kinds of money and so does this site: the maximum on conviction, which is stated; the ceiling on a composition, which is derived from it and recomputed by the build rather than typed; and the sum you are actually asked to pay, which is in no instrument at all. The third one is the figure most people arrive for, and saying that plainly is the main thing this site does differently.

What it will not do

It will not ask you for an NRIC or FIN, a driving licence number, a vehicle registration number, a notice or summons number, or a date of birth, and it renders no lookup or payment form of any kind. Checking and paying happen on the issuing agency’s own service; this site links there and stops.

It will not quote a composition sum from a third-party page as though it were law, and it will not present the two speeding regimes as one. Both are choices that would make the site look more complete and be less true.

Accuracy, and its current limits

The figures here follow the provisions cited beside them, and none of them has been through our final sign-off. Instruments are amended, and an amendment made recently may not be reflected here yet. This market has a second, subtler limit: most of the parent Act’s amendment markers carry no effective date in the text at all, so where a provision’s own marker is undated this site shows the period floored to the revised edition’s consolidation date and labels it as floored rather than dating it itself.

Rate data last changed 7 August 2026.

A defect in the sources themselves

HEDGE

The rules cite the Act by a name it no longer has

The subsidiary rules quoted on this site open by citing their parent Act in a citation form that was superseded when the Act was revised and renamed. The references still resolve to the right provisions — but the citation string itself is stale in the publisher’s own text. This site quotes it exactly as found and says so here, rather than silently modernising an instrument’s own words.

Road Traffic (Driver Improvement Points System) Rules (R 25)
Chapter 276, Section 45(2)
Road Traffic (Composition of Offences) Rules (R 29)
Chapter 276, Section 135(2)
Road Traffic (New Drivers) Rules (R 32)
Chapter 276, Section 35A(2)

The Act those mastheads point at is now cited as Road Traffic Act 1961 (2020 Rev Ed). The pointers still resolve to the right provisions; only the citation form is superseded.

Language

This site is written in English because that is where the demand we measured is, not because Singapore’s other official languages are absent. Singapore code-switches; the instruments cited here are published in English.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, say so at [email protected] and name the provision. It will be checked against the instrument and corrected.
